This is Mr and Mojo. They are 15 weeks old in this picture. Their birthday is June 5, 1999. Mr was the runt of the litter, but he is healthy and growing fast, just like his brother Mojo.
Mr was named by the breeder's children, actually he's Mr. President. He was given this name due to his fearless attitude with his kindred, and his desire to keep them away from HIS food bowl. He fights heartily with Mojo over anything we give them to eat or play with.
I named Mojo after a dog in the book "The Body Theif" written by Ann Rice. Mojo (in the book) was found and kept by the vampire Lestat.
Mojo is a trouble maker. He likes to get into the garbage, shred toilet paper, grab the placemats off the table and jump over the gate we bought to keep them on the first floor of our apartment.
Now that the dogs are over a year old, I understand their personalities pretty well. Mojo hasn't changed...he's still a trouble maker, but he's also my "lover". He's such a sweet dog, and I enjoy sitting with him on the couch and getting lots of kisses from him daily. Mister is also very sweet, but very different. He's a spaz. When he wants to come up and give you loving, he is very quick and then he's off. I can hardly ever get him to calm down enough to sit with him like I do with Mojo. Mister is a climber too. If you get down on your knees with him, he tries to pull himself up and it seems like he wants to sit on your head. He really likes to be held like a baby. He's lucky that he's only a 45lb Boxer, or else it would be out of the question. Mister is a very good dog. He only gets into trouble when Mojo gets him into trouble. Mojo is the mischievous one.
Boxers are great dogs to own...they have short hair so shedding isn't much of a problem, and they don't need to be bathed very often. They are good watch dogs...very protective in nature, and they are great with children.
I'll be putting up more pictures of them here some day. Just need to scan them in. Aren't they adorable? :)
