I have seen stars in heaven
That retard the darkest night
And shine in hours of eleven
With their never-ending light.

I have seen waves on the ocean
That rise with a graceful bow;
And I can't help but wonder how
They roll in never-ending motion.

When I saw you, that April night,
The stars went down in shame,
The waves grew soft and light,
And the ocean sung your name.
