Physical Thoughts

    Amid the misty thronging flow
Of sonorous faces; some distending
    From their inner weight, others mauve
    Around the ears, and others still
        With an oblique and varied tone,
            But shrill,

    A rush of thoughts went with the wind,
And rising, limped aloft, faltered and fell
    As feathers might descend and rest
    In dark and cornered places, left
        To lie in many languished moods,
            Unblessed.
