When I bought my drive at CompUSA in 1999 I was never able to get it
working. Tape formats never worked, tape backups did not complete or took
FOREVER for only a few GB. Today I looked at the Sony site and found them
still advertising both the ingternal and external unit but absolutely no
support. Searched for drivers to try resurecting the unit but to no
avail. I am about to deep six the unit.

Is there any possible recourse from Sony? You site made some mention of
the possibility.

Thanks for your site. Because of it I have decided, again, not to try
making the paper weight work.
