I ran across your Web Page while searching for
information for the very limited use tape drive. I struggled with this thing off
and on for a year, trying to make it run reliably on several computers with
Windows 98A. It was always a failure. During a purchase of some
used hardware I ran across a Creative Labs CT1870 ISA IDE Controller
card, I put this thing in an ISA Slot on a Pentium Pro Computer I have and
hooked this Internal IDE SuperStation to it and this thing took off. It will
backup and restore. Also the Direct Tape Access Software works flawlessly
even across a peer to peer network. For years I always looked up to Sony,
but after this fiasco They are on my shitlist. I thought I would pass on the
info.
