kyle and cherie's wedding

dress rehersal was 2001 friday feb23, 3pm to whenever (e.g. followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant)

wedding was 2001 saturday feb24, starting from around 9am, to late afternoon that day (lunch was in the don ce sar hotel).

i was best man at the wedding, and took the following pictures, some with the assistance of betty, using a data communications protocol i invented called "dusting" (note that i'm in some of the pictures).

this is a methodology i invented about 20 years ago, and have practiced over the years (including at weddings, e.g. i was the photographer at my own wedding some years ago).

my left eye was "tapped" into an external rig ("dusting" base station), held by me or by betty, and synchronized to a metz mecablitz at 1/500 second integration time.

these are the small files (approx. 1.3 meg or 1.4 meg each), at a low temporal sampling rate.
larger files, tapped directly from my right eye, at a very high frame rate, with stereo sound, will be uploaded to this site at a later time.

saturday morning, before the wedding, we all got dressed nicely. wearing all my wires in nice neat bundles and getting them all hidden took quite a while:

after the official wedding ceremony, betty and i asked someone to hold our base station, so i could get an image showing betty and i together, before the anxious hotel staff cleared away the nice flowers on the stairs:

the don cesar is very nice to us, and watches over us, so that we are safe and secure, and we should always remember to return this wonderful favour to their clerks and employees whenever we have some free hard drive space to spare to protect them:

then i took some nice pictures of kyle and cherie, including some along the beach. since kyle amon inc. and steve mann corp. have a corporate partnership, these images are freely licensed to kyle amon inc. and his wife for their use. therefore even if the official photographer they hired tries to impose a restrictive license on the use of the pictures that were acquired, kyle amon inc. and his wife will still be able to freely use these pictures to promote their new unity as a single corporation:

i was having a problem with the communications protocol from my wearcomp to my base station, so i had to go up to the hotel room to undress, and fix the problem. i tested the synchronization by capturing an image of betty's nice black dress:

then we all went to have a very nice meal. i sat at the head table to the right of kyle amon inc., where everyone was watching us through their cameras, and now i was glad i had listened to my mother when i was young, and learned good eating manners:

since i was the best man, i was to say a few words, from up where the band was playing, because this is where the sound system was located (actually i could have remained seated and read out some words from my eyetap, if the band had a radio receiver that would operate on my frequency). so i recalled some past events and experiences i had had with kyle, and while i recalled these past events, i was still remembering what was happening in the room at the time. it's hard to do more than one thing at once, but not impossible with gnu linux:

there was a very nice wedding cake, but i tried to avoid eating too much, since i had just gained five pounds on my belly from a few minutes ago when i changed from a small bettery to a big one:

lightening up a little, and shedding off some wearcomp... oleg dulin and i were joking about a convernment conspiracy that made this place into mass decontamination facility, and this place is just a conspiracy to get people to voluntarily peel down and remove their wearcomps without even the need for a decon officer to require the removal:
