Kyle and Cherie Amon's Wedding
These are the pictures I took while attending Kyle and Cherie Amon's wedding at the end of February, 2001.
- U.S. Airways Metrojet plane is having its tire replaced. That was the first adventure of my trip -- the plane was being taxied out to the runway and then the front tire went flat. Here is a close up.
- Castle's in the sky view out of the airplane window. Makes a nice background in a proper operating system (GNU).
- Beach right outside of my motel (Travelodge in St. Pete's Beach).
- Seagull, just meditating and reflecting on the meaning of life...
- At the reception dinner -- left to right: Kyle Amon, Steve Mann, his wearable Von Neumann device, and his wife Betty, Cherie Amon.
- Kyle's daughter
- Don Ceasar's Hotel at 8 PM or so from the parking lot.
- Steve Mann showing off his wearable universal Turing machine with a finite tape. The machine simulates another Turing machine (Linux OS), I believe. Steve, correct me if I am wrong.
- Don Ceasar's Hotel at around 9 AM right from the beach.
- Kyle, proudly accepting the beginning of the rest of his life.
- Cherie and her dad
- Kyle and Cherie exchanging the vows. Look how happy both of them are.
- Sunset -- makes a beautiful background.
- Kyle and Cherie after the wedding. Steve and I were consuming Kyle's CPU time, while Cherie was all niced out in the background, until we realized that they just got married and niced ourselves out.
